Something feels off.
You can’t quite get a handle on it in talk therapy
When insight hasn’t been enough, it’s time for a different kind of work.
For adults who feel anxious, easily triggered, are jumpy, find relationships anxiety provoking, have had a fall or accident and have felt off ever since.
Feel more calm, confident, stable, less reactionary.
Develop life long resilience for anything that comes in the future.

When previous therapy wasn’t enough or was too slow
You may have tried therapy, even EMDR, but somehow you don’t quite feel like you how you what to, or are still getting anxious or triggered.
Understanding yourself and feeling better aren’t the same.
Relationships and attachment
You feel anxious, fearful, and insecure in relationships or get easily angered or run in some way.
Anxiety, Insecurity, Self Doubt, Brain fog
You don’t trust your abilities even in the face of compliments, accolades and successes. Nervousness, intrusive thoughts or worry impair your ability to work, play, relax, sleep.
Recurring patterns
You see you have unproductive responses which take over and would like to feel more in control, comfortable and less reactive.
Sometimes is not conscious.
If it is in the brain, body and nervous system you can’t think or talk your way out of it.
These systems need to be worked with so they work for you not against you.
From Reactivity to Responsiveness
We identify the moment when the familiar pattern takes over, we slow down, get curious about it and allow what needs to surface to surface to help process it, reframe it and help the innate survival system to find a better more grounded alternative.
That may mean tolerating a difficult feeling working with the body, sensations, memories, or meaning to help unlock the drivers of your reactions.
This is body based active therapy for people who want more than another hour spent describing the problem. This is where we “reprogram” the reactions” and develop better responses.
Somatic based therapy speaks the body’s language to the body, rewiring and processing what is keeping you stuck.
I’m Pam Dobbie, MA, LPC. For more than 22 years, I’ve worked with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, phobias and relationship issues.
My approach is direct, relational, and somatically informed. We won’t ignore your history, but we also won’t make narrating it the whole treatment.
The focus is on recognizing what emerges as we approach a target memory or reaction patterns you want to address. We untangle from the inside out, not talking but speaking to the body with its own unique language.
